YSL Manifesto L'Elixir eau de parfum intense

I received this perfume as a Christmas present, and I thought it was something different to what I normally wear. I usually go for a fresh, fruity scent and this YSL perfume has a quite strong, 'grown up' scent. (If you can get one of those haha.)  I usually wear this on a night out as it's long lasting but  I also wear it on days where I know that I am going to be out of the house all day and not going to be able to spritz more perfume on. I think that the packaging is lovely too, The glass bottle reflects with the light and creates different colours. I'm always trying different perfumes out as I am skincare and I have actually gone back to this perfume quite a lot.

Sk:n vitamin rich cleanser

Trying to find a suitable cleanser for your skin that will remove all of your makeup? Sk:n's vitamin rich cleanser is a great option!

I recently bought this cleanser to use before my 'Emma Hardie amazing face cleanser' to remove all of my makeup. This way, I am removing all of the dirt and makeup to achieve clean, clear skin.

This product has a lovely scent to it and many good ingredients, which include anti-acne ingredients to improve the skin's condition. As soon as I used it, after a few days I had already seen an improvement in my skin after using various new products. (more posts to come.)  I used to think that by just double cleansing with my Emma Hardie cleanser, it was going to remove all of my makeup. But I was wrong. I was cleaning my face and then still sometimes ending up with excess makeup on my towel afterwards. Yuck!

I use cotton pads and use a small amount of cleanser into each pad and wipe the face. I carry on doing this with new, clean cotton pads until my makeup is thoroughly off and then I go and wash my face and carry on with my skin routine.

I really think this product is wonderful! I am so happy it has came into my skin routine and will definitely carry on using it.

Do you have a favourite cleanser? What's your skin routine?

Garnier Moisture Match moisteriser

I have been trying out lots of different products for my skin as it always seems to change. I have combination skin and one week it could be dry on my forehead and sometimes it could be really oily. I've been testing out lots of different products to improve my skin and find the best products for improving my skin routine.

My forehead for the past month or two has been very dry and peeling and I have been using the Garnier Moisture Match Ultra-hydrating rich cream. I have been applying quite a lot at night and have already seen an improvement. The cream is quite rich, as it says on the tube and very hydrating. Garnier Moisture match range caters for: Shine Reduction, normal/dry skin, dull, dry skin and normal skin.

What is your favourite skin products? Have you tried the moisture match range?

Shower products that smell DIVINE

When going in the bath/shower I always like to be able to smell nice afterwards. With or without applying a scented moisteriser. When I popped into Asda a while ago, the Radox shower gels really stood out to me, probably because they are so bright. I had a sniff and fell in love with the strong scents. Ever since, I have put my other bath/shower gels to the side and have been using these non stop.

They have a lasting scent, which isn't strong but makes you just smell.. divine. The products are very creamy and lather up well. The 'Berry Blast' is a shower cream and the 'Passion splash' is a shower gel so there's options if you don't like gels or creams, you can take your pick.  After using, I always feel so fresh and clean and just want to smell myself constantly. Is that weird?

They are so affordable, I think I bought them both on an offer for around two pounds. I love a good bargain like the next person and truly think they are a good value for money.

What are your favourite bath products?

Budget friendly Beauty Blenders

A while ago I purchased a Beauty Blender, waited a long time for it arrive,  Used it once and I squeezed the water out too much and it erm.. Broke. (I must be so strong!)  So instead of buying another one, (which I will soon), I bought these makeup sponges from Amazon. For £3.99!! #Bargain

All I do is get a small pot of water, dab the sponges and then squeeze the excess water. (Gently this time.) I apply my foundation/concealer onto my face and then with the damp sponges, press and stipple the products to create a flawless look. By having the sponges in different sizes and  on a handle it makes it so easy to apply to the different parts of the face.

I'm not saying these are better than a Beauty Blender, as there are now lots of different companies with their own inventions, Like the ones from Amazon or Real Techniques.  I do think they are amazing for setting the makeup into place and having a flawless base. Also, if you're on a budget these would be great to use!

Do you have a Beauty Blender? Or a dupe? What Are your thoughts/favourite ones?

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo review

When I first started blogging a while ago (well a few years ago) I did a blog post about La Roche Posay: Effaclar Duo and how I wasn't impressed when everyone was raving about it. But now my opinions have changed. For a few years now my skin has been really bad, then gets a little better and then gets bad again. Your condition of your skin can really get you down and I started to feel uncomfortable with or without makeup. When wearing makeup, I would apply the heaviest foundations and concealers to try and cover the redness and breakouts. And when I wore no makeup, I would hide in my bedroom so no one could see me. I should know better as I have been training in makeup artistry and the beauty industry for a while now and know not to clog pores up with heavy products. I felt like I would do anything to get rid of them and then I seen this product in the back of the cupboard and thought I would give it ago again.

I have been applying every day and night before moisterising and I have seen a slight change. It's better than no change right!? I know that it takes a while for your skin to get used to a product for it to work fully but already my skin is feeling smoother, and blemishes are looking calmer. I am going to continue to use this in my skincare routine and have my fingers tightly crossed that my skin will clear up.

What is your favourite La Roche-Posay product?

OK, this will be my last post about going to York. I just couldn't help myself when taking photos as it was too beautiful not to. As you can probably tell from my latest posts, I really enjoyed my day out in York. The weather was such a plus as it really made everything seem more beautiful. It properly felt like spring. Sunday's are the best when you can unwind and de-stress walking and exploring not knowing where you are going to end up. It was so nice to  get away from the gloomy midlands. I'm not going to babble on anymore, so i'm just going to show you some pictures.

Lucky Days Cafe

Visiting York and want a yummy breakfast, brunch or lunch? You have to go to Lucky Days. The staff were very friendly, quick service and very affordable meals. My choice was the American style pancakes which were packed with syrup, different fruits and Crème fraîche. The menu looked so tasty it was so hard to make my mind up of what to have, but I think I made a good choice. Lucky Days was a place where you could feel that you could take a seat, relax and never feel unwelcome which was lovely and we will definitely go again if we ever decide to go back to York!

Have you ever been to Lucky Days? If not where is the best place you have been to for breakfast/lunch?

Monk bar Chocolatiers - York

On Sunday, It was a lovely day so I decided to go to York as I haven't been for years. The last time I had gone to York was when I was a little girl with my mum and grandma so it was lovely to go again. Today's post is about a lovely chocolate shop we went to down the little back streets. Walking down the street called 'Shambles' felt like I was walking down Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter film. (I actually heard one of the tour guides say that the producers from the film got inspiration for Diagon alley from this very street. How cool!)

Walking through the door of Monk Bar, straight away you could smell the delicious smell of chocolate. Not many places nowadays make handmade chocolate anymore and it was great to see. Of course we had to buy some, and as expected they were amazing!

Emma Hardie amazing face moringa cleansing balm | Candy Camera

For a long time I had 'Emma Hardie - Amazing Face moringa cleansing balm' on my wishlist, and for Christmas I received the beautifully scented cleanser! As soon as I had got it, I religiously started applying it to my face morning and night. At the end of the day, I cannot wait to take off my makeup, mainly just to smell the product. (Thanks to the essential oils)

The cleanser has many great ingredients which make it such a luxury to use and also suitable for many different skin types. I double cleanse with this product and even on the first cleanse manages to remove the majority of my makeup. Even waterproof! The balm glides on the face and feels so creamy, I then massage into my face and emulsify with water and then wipe off with the muslin cloth provided.  The directions on the box say to mix a few drops of water and balm into your hands first and then apply to the face but I just prefer to do it the other way round. (Still works as well.)

Because of the essential oils, I really feel that it has not only made my skin feel smoother but also cleared blemishes and redness. I mean yes, I do still have blemishes and redness but after using the cleanser I do feel that my skin is becoming clearer. And everyone loves clear skin, right?

What is your favourite cleanser? Is it Emma Hardie cleansing balm by any chance?

Favourites from Netflix!

Netflix = I'm obsessed.

I have become one of those people that don't just like to watch a programme at night and wait for the next one. I am now one of those people (I hope i'm not the only one) that can watch  many series in a night and hopefully finish a whole episode in a week.

As I have been hibernating in  my bedroom when I get back from college/work and watching Netflix, I thought that I would tell you my favourites.

1. Orange is the New Black

Orange is the New Black is an American comedy series about a women's prison. It is about a lady called Piper and her experiences in prison, It then looks into the other women's lives before prison, and tells a story of how they got there. This programme is very funny and addictive to watch.
Rating: 4.5/5

2. Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars is about a group of five teenage girls and one goes missing. The rest of the girls then receive mysterious text messages by someone called 'A', threatening and scaring them. - This series can sometimes be a little scary (But then again I do get scared at anything) and you can't stop watching because you just want to find out who 'A' actually is. I must admit, I do feel that it has dragged on a little bit because I've watched five series now and still don't know who 'A' is and there is seven series altogether. But they like to keep  the suspense going  and for some weird reason I'm still going back for more.
 Rating: 4.5/5

3. The Carrie Diaries

The Carrie Diaries is about the life of Carrie Bradshaw, before Sex and the City, her life as a high school student. After watching this, I just wanted to go shopping and buy lots and lots of 'fashionable' clothes. Most girls would love to have Carrie Bradshaw's lifestyle. Going to the best parties, wearing the coolest clothes, having two separate lives - One in New York where she hangs with the coolest of people and then with her friends and family in her hometown Castlebury. I used to love watching Sex and the City and it was great to see how the Carrie Diaries really stepped up to the mark. I thought it was great how they included real life issues like sex, homosexuality and stereotyping.
Rating: 4.5/5
4. Girls
I am currently on the second series of Girls and really enjoying watching it. It is (a bit like the other series) about the lives of a group of girls. But with no murders or suspense, Just four normal girls lives. The issues/struggles they go through day to day. The leading role Lena Dunham is also the creator, and many of the situations are based on real life experiences!
Rating: 3/5

Netflix isn't just great for watching series, but movies too! What are your favourites from Netflix?

Lee Stafford - Hair that never grows past a certain length

Hair. Something that I hate trying to maintain because it never seems to look right.Ever since a young girl, I hated trying to style my hair because it has always been lack-lustre, the same boring length and really dry, dehydrated and damaged. I never knew what kinds of products to put in my hair and over the years carried on dying, bleaching and stripping my hair. To make it even more damaged. I had been researching about different products on the market for hair growth. Many websites took me to tablets and supplements but I wanted something inexpensive but good quality. I went onto the boots website in the end and found the Lee Stafford range. Not only do they promote hair growth, but also hydrating and moisturising the hair.I thought it was going to be a product that would say things like 'improves hair growth' and then wouldn't work. However, after using the shampoo, conditioner and hair mask after a few months of using it, Slowly but surely my hair was actually starting to grow.  I was actually getting compliments about how long and shiny my hair was and this brought me great happiness and I wanted to take care of my hair even more. I have gotten through so many of the hair masks that I probably need a new pot every one to two months. I scoop an egg sized amount into my hand and  then massage from root to tip. I then clip all my hair onto the top of my head and leave on for a minutes or even hours! The three products are normally on a 3 for 2 offer at boots so highly affordable. I love how the packaging is pink  and also how lovely the products smell. (I love a nicely smelling hair product!)

Even though I do love these products, I still want to test out other products that will hydrate and nourish my hair. Have you got any recommendations? I would love to hear them.

What do you think of the Lee Stafford ranges?

ASOS Unicorn phone case

When my family know I like something, they buy me everything i'll ever need around that interest for presents for Christmas or birthdays. For example: I like One Direction. Now I tissues, chocolate, toothpaste and many other things.

Having said this, I have loved unicorns for many years. I don't know why, there's just something about them I like. My collection of One Direction merchandise is growing and so is my unicorn collection! (This makes me sound so sad)

My last thing on my Unicorn wish list was a phone case and when I saw this one on ASOS, I knew I had to get it. I bought this case for £12, I knew this was a bit pricey for a phone case but I wanted to treat myself for working so hard at work and college. It arrived in a matter of days and I was so impressed by how fast the delivery was. I couldn't believe how big the phone case actually is in real life, It is HUGE! But because i'm so clumsy, I know that if I ever drop my phone, it will be protected by the huge amounts of silicone. (Or the magical powers of the unicorn)

So here it is, The magical unicorn phone case...
